Running Away From Home
Why am I running from you?
My stomach is growling While I feast on these crumbs
My tongue is dry But I drink from the sea
Here like Jonah boarding the ship Away I go, to ease Away I go, to comfort
Only, the colors aren’t bright here The sun fails to rise The crops don’t grow
Nor can I stay here long The tethering of your Spirit draws me
Back, to the narrow road Back, to the fruitful paths Back, to your presence
Here, I’m full Here, I’m satisfied Here, I’m home.
