Loneliness, Books, and Song
In this season of lonely fellowship
I’ve found friends in pages and song.
John Piper serves me a breakfast of words
F.B. Meyer teaches me to pray
Andrew Peterson sings the words of my heart
T.S. Eliot exercises my brain
Tolkien takes me on a far away journey to my present
Schreiner tutors me on the book of Hebrews
Jeremiah teaches me to trust God
Bob Kauflin offers fresh invitations to worship
Zack Eswine reminds me that I’m not alone
J.I. Packer tenderly tilts my head upward
They stand with me in the gap
Of brothers I hope to have next to me.
