As the Leaf Blows
As the leaf blows there and here So have we, my precious dear.
We’ve moved around From place to place
We’ve lived our dreams We’ve run our race
We’ve had our hurts And tragedy
We’ve left our friends And family
And here we are Back “home” again
Growing restless To here remain
The Gardener has for us a plan To live for Him and not for man.
Let’s plant our feet And grow some fruit
Let’s tend the growth Of these little shoots
You’re a means of grace To me each day
When I feared my heart Would give way
Many tears laid In our bed
As many fears grew In my head
Patiently you’ve prayed for me I‘ll not lose such memories.
