A Penny for Your Thoughts

In a world traveling at the speed of light,
Let us slow down,
Let us be the light.

With overwhelming data begging our reaction,
Let us be thoughtful,
Let grace overwhelm us.

From the flattering words of counterfeit congratulations,
Let us speak truth in love,
Let us encourage.

And each time we do, a sliver of light
Releases from our bows into
The heart of darkness.
